When it comes to recycling, most waste management companies are already on board. You should contact the company that collects your trash and ask them what recycle programs they have available. Chances are they will have a curbside pickup, with some even going as far as to supply you with recycle bins for your goods. You may be asked to separate plastic, paper, and metal products that are commonly used in the home, but again, that is not something that really requires an awful lot of effort on your part.

When it comes time to replace the appliances in your home, make sure to choose those that are labeled as being energy efficient.
